As part of our continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Service Desk Coordinator to join us at the heart of our operations.

This is a busy, responsible role and we’re looking for someone who brings two things above all else: exceptional customer service and the ability to confidently manage multiple priorities at once.

The Role

As Service Desk Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in keeping our day-to-day operations running smoothly.
You’ll be the all-important link between our customers, operational teams and management, making sure enquiries are handled brilliantly, information is accurate, and jobs are followed through from initial request to completion.
This is not a quiet admin role. On a typical day, you could be answering customer calls, responding to emails, updating jobs, speaking to drivers and operatives, dealing with a change to the schedule and following up on an outstanding issue, sometimes all within a short space of time.
You’ll need to know what needs your attention first, keep track of the detail, and communicate confidently with everyone involved.

What You’ll Be Doing

Acting as a first point of contact for customers by phone and email
Delivering an excellent standard of customer service, including when dealing with problems, changes or delays
Logging, updating and managing service requests accurately using our systems
Liaising throughout the day with drivers, operatives and the wider operations team
Keeping customers informed and managing expectations clearly and professionally
Managing multiple live jobs, enquiries and changing priorities without losing track of the detail
Monitoring jobs through to completion and following up where action is needed
Maintaining accurate records and supporting the wider operations team

Full training will be provided on Hey Clear's systems, services and processes.

About You

We’re open-minded about the industry you come from. You might have worked in customer service, a service desk, logistics, transport, scheduling, facilities, operations or another busy coordination environment.

What we can't compromise on is your ability to deliver exceptional customer service and manage a genuinely busy, multi-tasking workload.

You’ll be confident speaking to customers on the phone, including when something hasn’t gone to plan. You’ll be able to build rapport, manage expectations and take ownership of finding a way forward rather than passing the problem on.
You’ll also be someone who can have several things happening at once and still know what needs doing next. You’re organised, calm under pressure and able to switch between tasks while keeping information accurate and following things through.
You’ll take pride in doing things properly, notice the detail and enjoy being someone your customers and colleagues can rely on.
Experience within waste or environmental services would be helpful, but it is absolutely not essential. The right customer service and coordination skills are much more important to us than having worked in our industry before.
You will need your own transport due to the office location and be able to work from our Fareham office Monday to Friday.
