Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a qualified HGV Road Sweeper Driver Class 2 to join our team in Linlithgow. This role involves operating specialised road sweeping vehicles to maintain cleanliness and safety on public roads, building sites and industrial sites. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Class 2 licence.

Monday to friday 9 hour basic shift - 45 hours per week with overtime available every day paid at time and a half. Your own dedicated truck.

28 Days Holiday per annum

2 week Christmas shutdown

Duties

Safely operate HGV road sweeping vehicles, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Carry out scheduled cleaning routes across designated areas, including urban streets and industrial zones.
Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment or materials when necessary, utilising flatbed or specialised attachments.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, including route logs and vehicle checks.
Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.
Collaborate with team members to optimise route efficiency and service delivery.

Skills

Valid Class 2 (Cat C) driving licence with a clean driving record.
Experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed or specialised vehicles such as road sweepers.
Prior delivery driver experience is advantageous.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow detailed routes and schedules.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and supervisors.
Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations.
Physically fit, capable of performing manual tasks associated with vehicle operation and maintenance. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness on public roads while supporting environmental initiatives in <LOCATION>.
