Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, adherence to road safety regulations, and the ability to manage time effectively.
Duties
- Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the transportation of goods, ensuring compliance with all relevant driving regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working order.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured appropriately for transport.
- Deliver products to customers in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Complete all necessary actions related to deliveries, including delivery notes, ePod and vehicle logs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with curtain side vehicles.
- Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) for operating 7.5 tonne vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction with customers and team members.
- Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Pay: £30,171.00-£32,760.00 per year
