Overview
This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering Novira's marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, lead generation and commercial growth. You'll work closely with the leadership team, create engaging content, support product launches and events, and maximise the value of Novira's Cymru Leagues title sponsorship. As the business grows across the UK and internationally, you'll play a key role in developing and evolving the marketing function.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own Novira Technologies' marketing vision and long-term growth strategy, working closely with the CEO and leadership team to ensure marketing drives brand awareness, customer engagement, commercial growth and market expansion.
- Lead and manage all of Novira's marketing activity across digital, social media, PR, events, campaigns and communications, ensuring activity is aligned with business objectives and delivers measurable results.
- Own marketing's contribution to revenue growth, lead generation and customer acquisition by developing go-to-market strategies, supporting sales activity and identifying new opportunities across sectors and markets.
- Maximise the value of Novira's Official League Title Sponsorship of the Cymru Leagues by developing creative activations, partnerships and marketing opportunities that generate measurable commercial value and strengthen Novira's position within Welsh football and beyond.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, commercial partners, media, governing bodies and industry stakeholders to create collaborative marketing opportunities and support business growth.
- Own and evolve the Novira brand across all customer touchpoints, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning that establishes Novira as a recognised leader in hospitality technology and sustainability.
- Lead Novira's corporate communications by developing brand messaging, writing press releases, preparing statements and communications on behalf of the CEO, managing media relations and supporting the company's public profile.
- Attend football matches, customer sites, exhibitions, PR events and industry conferences to represent the business, build relationships and create engaging marketing content.
- Capture high-quality photography and videography of Novira's products, installations, customers, football activity and events for use across social media, the website and wider marketing campaigns.
- Create, edit and publish engaging content across Novira's social media channels, while growing our presence across existing and emerging platforms through active audience engagement, including responding to comments and messages, sharing relevant content and building an online community.
- Develop engaging website content, including product demonstrations, customer success stories and promotional videos, ensuring Novira's digital presence effectively supports brand awareness and commercial growth.
- Lead the planning and delivery of all marketing for customer installations, exhibitions, football activations and events, briefing the Creative Director and external suppliers to produce impactful branding, signage, banners, digital displays, promotional materials and event collateral.
- Build and develop Novira's marketing function as the business grows, managing future team members, agencies, suppliers and budgets while ensuring strong return on investment from marketing activity.
- Establish marketing performance frameworks, set KPIs and use data, customer insights and market intelligence to measure impact, optimise campaigns and inform strategic business decisions.
You'll ideally have:
- A proven track record leading marketing strategy within a fast-growing business, technology company or scale-up environment.
- Experience developing and executing marketing strategies that have directly contributed to revenue growth, customer acquisition and market expansion.
- Experience working closely with CEOs, founders and leadership teams to shape business strategy and commercial direction.
- Experience owning and developing a brand strategy, including positioning, messaging and market differentiation.
- Experience managing strategic partnerships, sponsorships or brand activations that deliver measurable commercial value.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, content strategy, communications, PR and integrated marketing campaigns.
- Experience in Sports Marketing is highly desirable, but not essential
- Excellent communication, copywriting and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the business externally and communicate confidently with senior stakeholders.
- Experience developing corporate communications, including CEO messaging, press releases, media relations and thought leadership content.
- Experience using marketing data, customer insights and analytics to set KPIs, measure ROI and inform strategic decisions.
- Experience managing marketing budgets and allocating resources effectively to maximise return on investment.
- Experience building and leading marketing functions, including managing internal teams, agencies and external suppliers.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to create content, support campaigns and get involved in execution when required within a fast-moving startup environment.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and internationally where opportunities arise.
Working Hours
This is a full-time role (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday, with hybrid working from our Newport office. Standard hours fall between 8:00am and 6:00pm, though flexibility is required to support occasional evenings and weekends for football matches, events and marketing activities. Time off in lieu or flexible working arrangements will be provided where appropriate.
