Midlothian Council is seeking to appoint a Project Administrator in our multi-disciplinary Development Team, which delivers the Council’s Capital Plan.
The successful candidate will support our Project Management Office (PMO) function, supporting the delivery of Midlothian Council’s Capital Programme through effective internal project administration and reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely information is available internally and reported externally to our partners on our capital projects. This PMO role is required to provide high quality administrative and reporting support to the Development Team’s day to day activities.
The post holder will support the drive to meet the infrastructure needs of communities in Midlothian, Scotland’s fastest growing local authority.
While this role is stated to be full-time, we are highly committed to workplace flexibility. We are happy to consider part-time hours, job-sharing, or flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.
KNOWLEDGE
The jobholder requires a minimum qualification to HNC/SVQ3 level in Business Studies, Office Management or Administration or an acceptable equivalent qualification or relevant experience to this post.
Knowledge of word processing/spreadsheets/keyboard, minute taking to multi-agency level, supervisory and administrative skills are essential.

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.
Based on 36 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £32,554.06 per annum.
