Click Netherfield is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Mill Operator to join our precision manufacturing team. This role is perfect for a machinist who prides themselves on accuracy and high-quality output. You will be responsible for the setup, and operation of our CNC milling machine, ensuring that every component meets our engineering specifications.
While your primary focus will be on CNC Milling, we highly value candidates with a strong mechanical foundation and experience in traditional machining.
Working Hours: 39.5 hours per week, providing a great balance between productivity and personal time.
- Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00
- Friday: 07:00 – 12:30
We offer a starting rate of £13.50 per hour, with the flexibility to negotiate this based on your specific experience, knowledge, and technical skill set.
Key Responsibilities
- CNC Milling: Set and operate CNC milling machine to produce high-precision components.
- Precision Production: Interpret engineering drawings and files to ensure exact tolerances are met.
- Quality Assurance: Act as your own quality control; perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections using verniers, micrometers.
- Process Optimisation: Monitor machine performance, adjust offsets, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Technical Versatility: Utilise your background in manual lathe work to assist in secondary operations or setup tasks where required.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate production records and quality documentation.
- Safety: Maintain a clean, organised workstation and adhere strictly to all Health & Safety procedures.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- CNC Milling Experience: Proven experience in operating CNC milling machinery.
- Manual Machining Background: Practical experience with manual lathes is highly valued for this role.
- Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for quality and the ability to maintain consistent tolerances.
- Measurement Proficiency: Expert use of inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
- Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
Desirable:
- Experience in a precision sheet metal or general engineering environment.
