*EARLY MORNING SHIFTS*
We’re excited to be hiring a Food Operations Manager for our busy and highly organised production kitchen!
As a company, we’re passionate about fresh food, brilliant customer service and providing a fair and supportive work environment for our staff.
As our Food Operations Manager you'll lead by example on being hard working, practical, reliable, punctual and passionate about excellent food safety and hygiene practices. You'll work with our long standing team of experienced chefs to complete from-scratch food production to a high standard and have the experience and problem solving skills to make adjustments to our procedures when required.
You'll be able to gain competency in all areas of the kitchen operation quickly due to being a capable and experienced cook with quick and efficient knife and organisational skills. This will allow you to move on to managing all areas of the kitchen and its driving responsibilities while maintaining accountability for food quality, food safety, cleaning standards and timekeeping across the team.
You'll be responsible for our driving route which operates across Glasgow to stock our shops twice daily. You'll maintain responsibility for the oversight of this role as a part of the kitchen operation; our food is produced and delivered by our team of chefs.
You should be comfortable working with numbers as you’ll be receiving orders from our retail sites, using this information to ensure the operation is accurately producing and dispatching the required volumes of food.
The volume of fresh food that we process is large - successful applicants will be comfortable in manual handling of high volumes of ingredients and moving large quantities of them around our kitchen safely.
Responsibilities will include placing stock orders, ensuring cleaning and hygiene standards are maintained to an exceptional standard, completing kitchen records, and managing the workload of yourself and others as well as driving a large Luton style van when required.
Operational continuity, maintaining great work relationships and monitoring the kitchen's spending on ingredients and hours will be responsibilities that come naturally to you, with past experience in a similar role.
The role is ideally suited to an established chef manager who is looking to take back their evenings and benefit from the work-life balance offered by a predictable and organised schedule. You'll enjoy the autonomy our company ethos enables for the role yet appreciate a transparent, honest and supportive work environment. You'll still have that love for working with food but will enjoy the challenge of also having the more varied and diverse responsibilities that come with working in a small yet very busy business.
The salary on offer is open to negotiation dependant on what you can bring to the role.
The interview process for this role is multi-stage, beginning with a self guided online video interview.
