What will this role achieve?
Technical Operators are accountable for carrying out tasks within the machinery. They will work closely with the ATM/ Supervisor about any issues that they come across to ensure customer supply. And carry out tasks that need a hands-on approach and operating machinery. The role will need flexibility and good communication skills. All training given.
The role needs someone who has a “can do” attitude, and works hard to keep high standards while being part of a busy team. Will move lines across the factory as and when required.
What will be your key deliverables?
- Prioritise and agree allocation of tasks within Technical Operator Team

You’ll take responsibility for keeping things running well in your area, including tiered meetings

Establish high standards of work and proactively develope continuous improvement within the area

Carry out all pre-start checks

Ensure product is made to the correct quality and specification

Understand equipment and machinery set up

Ensure changeovers are completed to procedure Ensure any re-work procedures are followed

Carry out machine changeovers

Make adjusts to machinery settings to maintain product consistency

Ensure all documentation is filled in correctly and to the right standard

Always maintain everyday factory standards safely

Shift handovers are completed in area and to agreed agenda

Train peers and new operatives in equipment use and procedures when required

Undertake basic problem diagnosis and maintenance

Ensure team understand the planning of their daily tasks

Communicate directly with relevant person to resolve any issue

Prioritise and agree allocation of tasks within Technical Operator Team

Machine fault identification, diagnosis and rectification (where applicable)

Confirm and prioritise production activity in line with production plan

Previous experience is desirable but not essential, training will be given.

Understand zonal Key Performance Indicators (production targets, waste levels and line performance)
What does the recruitment process consist of?
Assessments – Swift Comprehensive Aptitude assessment along with a Workplace English assessment. These should take around 45– 60 minutes to complete.
Interview – 45-60 minute competency-based interview based on our company values and your experience.
If internal, depending on your current job role, you may not be required to complete the assessments.
