Summary
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Mobile HGV Mechanic / Tyre Fitter to join our growing team. This is a mobile role, providing roadside assistance, on-site repairs, servicing, and tyre fitting for heavy goods vehicles across our service area.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out roadside and on-site repairs to HGVs.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently.
- Fit, repair, and replace HGV tyres safely and professionally.
- Perform routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
- Complete job sheets and maintenance records accurately.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service while representing the company.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or HGV Tyre Fitter.
- Good mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Experience fitting and repairing commercial vehicle tyres.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
- HGV licence is advantageous but not essential.
- Relevant mechanical qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) are desirable.
