We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Team Leader to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong maintenance background who enjoys leading teams, delivering high standards of workmanship, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Team Leader, you will oversee a team of Maintenance Operatives carrying out mould treatments, painting, minor repairs, and associated works related to condensation control and mould prevention within residential and social housing properties.
You will be responsible for ensuring work is completed to company standards, supporting and mentoring team members, liaising with residents and clients, and maintaining productivity across multiple projects.
You will work both independently and alongside your team to deliver excellent customer service and high-quality property improvements.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise Maintenance Operatives on-site
- Monitor daily workloads to ensure works are completed efficiently
- Carry out mould treatments, painting, and associated property maintenance works
- Perform and oversee minor repairs
- Ensure all works are completed to company quality standards
- Conduct On-site inspections and Quality Assurance checks
- Support the training and development of team members
- Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with company procedures
- Communicate professionally with residents, housing officers, and clients
- Complete job reports, site documentation, and Record training updates accurately and on time
- Escalate any issues, risks, or customer concerns to management where appropriate
Requirements : Essential
- Full Clean UK Driving Licence
- Previous experience in property maintenance, painting and decorating, repairs, or social housing maintenance
- Experience supervising or leading a team
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and support colleagues
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
Desirable
- Experience within social housing environments
- Experience carrying out mould treatments and remedial works
- Knowledge of condensation control and ventilation solutions
- Health & Safety qualification (e.g., SSSTS, IOSH, or similar)
- Basic carpentry, plastering, decorating, or multi-trade skills
