Full job description

Overview

We're looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day manufacturing operations of our UPVC door solutions. You'll ensure products are made to a consistently high standard, on time, and in line with health & safety and quality requirements, while managing the production team and coordinating closely with sales on order timelines.

Duties

Plan, schedule, and oversee daily production of UPVC doors and panels to meet customer orders and deadlines.
Manage and supervise production staff, including allocating tasks, monitoring performance, and supporting training and development.
Ensure all products meet quality, durability, and safety standards before dispatch.
Monitor stock levels of raw materials and components, liaising with suppliers to avoid production delays.
Maintain and coordinate maintenance of production equipment and machinery to minimise downtime.
Implement and enforce health & safety procedures across the production floor, ensuring compliance with UK regulations.
Work closely with the Sales team to confirm order specifications, custom design requirements, and realistic delivery timelines.
Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs.
Maintain accurate production records, including output, quality checks, and any issues or defects.
Manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors as required.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a production or manufacturing management role but not necessary .
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and health & safety compliance.
Good organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines simultaneously.
Comfortable using basic production planning tools/software and Microsoft Office.
Hands-on, practical approach with the ability to step onto the production floor when needed. This role is integral to maintaining our organisation’s commitment to operational excellence whilst fostering a safe working environment conducive to professional growth.

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year
