We are expanding our team of Marine Electronics Engineers and Technicians. Whether you’re new to the industry or ready to lead projects and mentor others, we’ve got an opportunity for you.

SIRM UK is the leading UK distributor of Electronic Navigation and Communication equipment for the professional maritime market. With over 100 years of history, SIRM UK has a strong expertise in providing complete system designs, project management for complex installations, and full through-life support services for ships’ bridge electronics systems.

As an independent company, SIRM UK offers a wide range of Service and Support capabilities, including a full catalogue of airtime solutions and value-added software solutions tailored to the marine market. We support commercial vessels with essential navigation, communication, and safety systems, ensuring they stay operational, compliant, and connected. If you’re hands-on, technically sharp, and customer-focused, we want to hear from you.

Right to work in the UK

All applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK. We are not currently able to offer sponsorship.

What you will do:

Your specific role will vary based on experience, but you could be:

Installing and commissioning marine electronics on vessels
Conducting maintenance, repairs, and surveys (if qualified)
Supporting customers with diagnostics and solutions
Spotting service opportunities and upselling when appropriate
Supporting delivery of projects
Travelling across the UK and occasionally overseas

Skills we are looking for

We’re looking for professionals who are:

✔ Experience in marine or field-based electronics

✔ Qualified to HNC/HND level (or equivalent) in Electronics or Electrical Engineering

✔ Strong problem-solving abilities

✔ Knowledge of electronic navigation and communication systems

✔ Great communicators who care about customer satisfaction

✔ Holding a full UK driving licence

✔ Able to pass a medical and annual working at height training course

Bonus if you have:

GMDSS Operator’s Certificate
Radio / VDR Survey or Class Approval experience
BOSIET/OLF Certification
Any Manufacturer-specific training
