North West Wholesale Limited is an independently owned delivered wholesale business serving independent retailers, convenience stores, and food outlets. We pride ourselves on reliable service and efficient deliveries using our own fleet of vans.

Job Summary
We currently have an opportunity for a professional and competent Purchase Ledger Clerk.

The key purpose of the job is the maintenance of the supplier ledger.
Duties including:

Ensure that purchase invoices are processed onto the Supplier ledger on a timely, accurate and complete basis
Match purchase invoices to Purchase Orders and pro-forma payments where applicable and follow up on any variances/issues
Management of the Supplier ledger including query resolution and supplier statement reconciliation.
Preparation of payment proposals for the online banking system

Supporting wider Finance functions as and when necessary, including banking duties.

Job Type / Category
This is a full time Permanent position. 35 hours per week

Working hours are 8am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday

8am -1pm Friday

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Prior experience in purchase ledger based role
Experience of different accounting systems. Merlin Business Software experience would be an advantage
Competent Microsoft Office user, particularly Excel

The successful applicant will have the below:

Good numerical, reconciliation and analytical skills with attention to detail
Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Proactive demeanour and ability to manage own workload
Willingness to be involved/support other areas of Finance

Pay: £13.17 per hour
