The role
You will be working for the travel brand Specialist Holidays Group within a creative and visionary team, all striving towards taking the brand to the next level. The Creative Graphic Designer will play a key role in delivering and optimising the design requests across Specialist Holidays Group’s six travel brands.
We are looking for a versatile and ambitious Creative Graphic Designer to join our team. This is an ideal role for a designer ready to immerse themselves in a diverse portfolio of travel brands, gaining high-level experience in a fast-paced, international travel environment.
Reporting to the Head of Brand and collaborating closely with the marketing team, you will be the engine behind our visual identity. You will produce captivating content for both digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring our brands remain at the forefront of the industry.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- · Digital Content: Designing high-impact graphics for email marketing and social media platforms.
- · Print Media: Creating polished layouts and assets for offline brand collateral.
- · Motion & Video: Developing your skills in video editing and motion graphics to bring our collections to life.
- · On-Site Support: Attending photoshoots to ensure visual consistency and brand alignment.
The role is carried out in support of the overall marketing strategy and goals. This involves closely liaising with the communications and product managers to ensure content is in keeping with our brand identity along with KPIs for driving traffic to the website and increase sales.
We are looking for are a designer with strong layout skills and deep interest in travel, always seeking innovative techniques to enhance your work and business value.
This is a full-time, office-based role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am–5.30pm.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with the Head of Brand to implement brand identity across all design assets
- Work alongside a designer to plan out weekly tasks
- Design, build and present complex campaigns across multiple brands and channels.
- Ensure all communications follow brand tone of voice and guidelines.
- Actively seek and implement feedback to enhance the quality of designs and ensure they align with project goals.
- Generate initial drafts, brainstorm innovative concepts, and propose engaging design solutions.
- Grasp the objectives and scope of each project, ensuring designs meet client expectations and project objectives.
- Foster a collaborative environment by effectively communicating and collaborating with team members to successfully launch projects.
- Maintain control of core design elements of our brands, using brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all designs.
The Person: Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional design role
- University degree in Graphic Design
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Proficiency in After Effects. Knowledge of Premiere Pro is a significant advantage.
- A solid understanding of technical requirements for both print, digital and web.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Creative thinker with demonstrable examples of high performing content.
- Strong eye for visual detail and styling
- Exceptional trend spotting ability and awareness of cultural shifts
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Highly flexible, positive and resilient with the ability to be innovative and collaborate
- Must be able to work as and be part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and at a fast pace; Flexible and adaptable to change.
