Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Manager to oversee and enhance our organisation’s quality assurance processes, working within a UKAS accredited laboratory. The role would suit someone looking for flexible part time working hours, The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining high standards across all operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional to lead quality initiatives and contribute to the organisation’s reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities

Maintain quality management systems in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal policies and external standards.
Analyse quality data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and areas for improvement.
Lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality concerns promptly and effectively.
Provide training and guidance to staff on quality assurance procedures and best practices.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality processes, audits, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
Stay abreast of industry developments and regulatory changes impacting quality standards.
Take the lead role in external audits, and customer visits.

Qualifications

Experience in a Quality Engineer or Management roles
Experience within the metals industry, some knowledge of metallurgy and testing requirements
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills
Relevant qualifications in Quality Management or related fields are preferred. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional committed to upholding the highest standards of quality while driving organisational excellence through innovative solutions and leadership.

Pay: From £15.00 per hour
