We are a growing and well-established accountancy practice providing accountancy, taxation, bookkeeping and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses and individuals. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.

Role
Provide Accountants with support in all areas of bookkeeping and accounts preparation including but not limited to:
- Preparation of bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients.
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.
- Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies.
- Assisting with the preparation of tax returns for sole traders and partnerships.
- Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
- Maintaining accurate client records and working papers.
Essential Skills
- AAT qualified/part-qualified or qualified by experience.
- Have good written and verbal communication skills to be able to deal with people at all levels.
- Be willing to learn and develop your skills and experience.
- Have good organisational skills that can be applied in a busy office environment.
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Minimum 3 years' experience working within a UK accountancy practice environment.
This role is best suited to candidates with previous UK accountancy practice experience and either relevant qualifications or significant practical experience.
Desirable Skills
- Experience using Xero, QuickBooks Online and Sage 50 Accounts would be advantageous.
- Be IT literate with good working knowledge of MS Office.

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
