About Engaging Education
Engaging Education is a creative agency working with schools, colleges, trusts and education organisations across the UK. We create video, photography, branding, design, digital, marketing and communications work that helps our clients tell their stories clearly and confidently.
Our mission is to support good people to do great things. You’ll be joining a team of more than 30 people across media, design, animation, digital, copy and strategy, working together on projects that make a visible difference for education organisations and the communities they serve.
Position Overview
This is a video-led role for a talented, creative shooter who can capture high-quality content and produce purposeful media for schools, colleges, trusts and education organisations across the UK.
We’re looking for someone with a strong visual eye, confident camera skills and the ability to make good creative decisions on location. Your showreel should demonstrate polished video work, strong composition, visual storytelling and the ability to capture people, places and moments in a professional way.
You will be supported through a structured induction into our shooting style, school environments, equipment and production workflows. New team members begin by shadowing experienced team members, before taking on solo captures when ready.
We provide all production kit, including camera, audio, lighting and editing equipment.UK travel is a regular part of the role. You may be on location around three days per week, rising during busier periods of the academic year and reducing during quieter ones, such as school holidays.
Overnight stays are part of the role, typically a few times per month depending on project schedules.
Most of all, we are looking for someone who is warm, confident and professional on location - with the ability to put people at ease, direct contributors when needed and represent the agency well in fast-paced environments.
About the Role
You’ll spend much of your time travelling to and capturing video content on location. With additional duties of preparing for shoots, working with contributors, managing footage and collaborating with our editors and wider creative team. You’ll also support some editing work and, where needed, develop your photography skills as part of our wider media offer.
