Full job description

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Working Supervisor / Senior Multi-Trader to join our growing reactive maintenance team.

This is a hands-on role combining supervision, operative management, recruitment support, problem-solving, and practical works on site when required.

The Role

You will help manage day-to-day reactive maintenance operations while supporting operatives and subcontractors across multiple trades.

A key part of the role will involve helping build, organise, and manage a reliable team of traders as the business continues to expand.

The role would suit:

a senior multi-trader looking to progress into a supervisory position,
or an experienced working foreman from a reactive maintenance or social housing background.

You must be organised, proactive, reliable, and capable of working in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

Supervising operatives and subcontractors
Helping recruit and onboard additional traders
Assisting in building and managing a reliable field team
Assisting with daily planning and job allocation
Attending sites and resolving operational issues
Carrying out works when required
Ensuring works are completed to a high standard
Uploading reports and job photos
Managing communication between operatives and office
Monitoring operative reliability and performance
Supporting emergency and reactive works when required

Requirements

Experience within reactive maintenance or social housing
Strong multi-trade background
Good organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and solve problems
Reliable and professional attitude
Full UK driving licence

Preferred

Experience supervising operatives or subcontractors
Existing network of traders/subcontractors
Plumbing, carpentry, drainage, or general maintenance background
Experience using PDA/job management systems
