Pay- £12.81per hour , Care Home rating of Outstanding, free DBS, free training, thorough induction, pension, food provided when on shift and uniform.

Groveland Park is a 55 bed Luxury Residential care home rated Outstanding. We are looking for a kitchen assistant to assist the chef with providing high quality nutritious meals, general kitchen duties including washing up, preparation of vegetables.

Key Responsibilities;

Main Responsibilities and Duties

To assist the Cook with the preparation of varied nutritious meals for the residents.
Help with the serving of meals for residents, be understanding of any specific food requirements and ensure everyone is treated with respect, dignity and given choice.
To understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements

such as HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH, EnvironmentalHealth, to maintain a safe environment throughout the home.

To clean and tidy all areas of the kitchen with the correct products

following instruction and guidance contained in the cleaningschedules ensuring The home is always cleaned to the higheststandards.

Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in full, safe working order,

immediately report any faults to the Cook and the Caretaker.

To receive and unload new stock, store appropriately and rotate

current stock correctly to maintain optimum freshness of allfoodstuff.

To work as an integral part of the team, contribute to meetings

and training sessions as required ensuring that The homeis a friendly and supportive working environment.

All concerns regarding possible abuse of a vulnerable adult must be reported immediately, to the person in charge, who will report to the board of directors. Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: £12.81 per hour

Schedule:

Mixture of 4 hours (10.30 - 14.30) and 10 hour (9.00 - 19.00) day shifts.
Week 1- 2 x 4 hour shift.
Week 2 - 1 x 10 hour shift and 2 x 4 hour shift.
Occasional weekend overtime to help cover annual leave.
