Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop barista skills, work within a welcoming atmosphere, and contribute to an enjoyable customer experience. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who thrive on teamwork and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Handle food safety procedures diligently, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the workspace.
Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and providing excellent service.
Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals as needed.
Manage cash register operations, including processing payments accurately using basic maths skills.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, including cleaning equipment and utensils regularly.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
Follow health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
Experience in serving customers and handling food preparation is desirable.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy hours.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude towards customers and team members.
Ability to work flexibly across various shifts, including weekends if required. This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop your skills while providing exceptional service to our valued customers.
