About The Role

Looking for a pastoral role where you can make a real difference?

We are seeking confident, proactive and highly organised individuals to join our team in a key pastoral role, supporting the effective implementation of our Behaviour Policy across the Academy.

This is a varied and hands-on position where you will play a vital role in promoting a calm, structured and positive learning environment. You will oversee the day-to-day running of punctuality, internal exclusion and detentions, maintain a visible presence around the school, and work closely with senior leaders and pastoral teams to support student engagement and behaviour.

You will also liaise with parents and carers, contribute to staff training, and use behaviour data to inform improvements across the Academy.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate the effective implementation of the Academy’s Behaviour Policy
Manage the daily running of the Reset Room internal exclusion room and detentions/sanctions
Provide a high-visibility presence around the Academy, supporting staff and monitoring pupils out of lessons
Lead on student punctuality
Work closely with the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, and pastoral teams to improve student engagement
Liaise with parents and carers regarding behavioural concerns
Deliver staff training and contribute to CPD related to behaviour management
Track and analyse behaviour data, providing reports to SLT and Governors

What we are looking for

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy, varied workload
Confidence to work with students, staff and parents in a calm, professional manner
Experience of supporting behaviour or working within a school or similar setting (desirable)
Ability to build positive relationships and support students to succeed
A proactive and resilient approach, with a commitment to high standards

The school ensures that pupils with SEND are included in the wider life of the school.

Pupils’ behaviour has improved. Lessons are calm and purposeful. The ‘speak up, speak out’ campaign has led to more pupils feeling confident to report concerns.
