Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of building types. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilise a range of specialised tools and techniques, and contribute to high-quality craftsmanship. Duties

Install new roofing systems using various materials such as tiles, shingles, metal sheets, and membranes
Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing components to ensure weather-tightness and durability
Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans to execute projects accurately
Operate power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently
Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Assist with the installation of flashing, gutters, ventilation systems, and other roof accessories
Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within specifications
Maintain a clean and organised worksite, adhering to safety standards at all times

Skills

Experience with welding techniques for metal roofing or structural components
Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, chisels, screwdrivers, and measuring devices
Knowledge of construction principles with an emphasis on roofing systems
Ability to operate power tools including drills, saws, nail guns, and grinders safely
Experience with fabrication processes for custom roofing components
Strong carpentry skills for framing or structural modifications when necessary
Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with roofing work
Basic understanding of plumbing and masonry as they relate to roof drainage systems or structural supports
