Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Cook to manage our busy NEWTON ABBOT Shop. The successful candidate must have a passion and experience for food preparation and customer services. This role is essential in ensuring that our shop operates smoothly and efficiently, providing excellent service to our customers while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Responsibilities

Food preparation.
Ensure that all food items are stored properly and adhere to food safety regulations.
Help maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and shop area, including washing utensils and equipment.
Managing inventory levels, including receiving deliveries and restocking supplies as needed.
Engage with customers, providing information about products and assisting with their needs.
Participate in daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

Two year's experience in food preparation role is essential.
Must hold a current Food Hygiene Certificate and Allergy Training Certificate.
A passionate interest in cooking and customer service.
Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards is essential.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with customers and colleagues alike.
Flexibility to work varying shifts as required by the shop's operational needs.
