Job Summary

We are seeking a professional and welcoming Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where organisational skills, friendliness, and attention to detail are highly valued. The Front Desk Agent will contribute significantly to creating a positive guest experience and uphold the high standards of our establishment.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with the check-in and check-out procedures efficiently
Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications using the booking system
Respond promptly to guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person, providing accurate information and assistance
Handle guest requests and complaints professionally, resolving issues to ensure guest satisfaction
Maintain accurate records of guest information and billing details
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest rooms are prepared to high standards
Ensure the reception area is tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary materials
Uphold security protocols by monitoring access points and safeguarding guest confidentiality

Skills

Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in multiple languages being highly desirable
Previous experience in hotel reception or hospitality is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving a diverse clientele effectively
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail to manage reservations and guest information accurately
Friendly demeanour with a professional attitude towards guest service
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations diplomatically
Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and guest service best practices is beneficial
