Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled chef/cook to join our culinary team at Hazlemere Golf Club to further enhance our great reputation and continue to build our business.

Hazlemere Golf Club has a great working environment with lots of opportunities to further your career. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a good understanding of kitchen operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our meals are prepared to the highest standard of quality contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established receipies and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area including work stations and equipment
Adhere to food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and storage
Follow HGC Leisure health and safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or cafe environment is preferred with a focus on meal preparation and culinary skills
Previous experience of Event Catering especially Buffets as one of our main business sectors is Funerals
Previous experience of Banquet style catering especially Christmas Dinners, Lunches ( we are not open Christmas Day or Boxing Day but have a very busy December with Festive functions)
Familiarity of Food & Safety Standards and practices is essential
HGC Leisure Ltd holds a 5 Star Food & Hygiene rating last renewed July 2025.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast pace environment
Strong communication skills
A genuine passion for cooking and creating high quality dishes that delight guests

Pay: Up to £29,120.00 per year
