Job Title: Bank Care Assistant
Purpose of the Role:
To provide high-quality personal care and support to patients, residents, or service users while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care activities such as washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support individuals with mobility and transferring safely.
- Help with eating, drinking, and meal preparation where required.
- Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, or wellbeing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
- Follow care plans and healthcare professionals' instructions.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
- Adhere to safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety policies.
- Assist with recreational and social activities.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
- Compassionate and caring attitude.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and nights.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in health or social care.
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Manual handling and first aid training.
Working Conditions
