Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Gardener/Grounds Maintenance operative to join the K G Smith and Son team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing gardens, woodlands, over seeing vegetable plots and retaining a high standard to the outdoor landscapes at K G Smith and Son.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for landscaping and gardening. The position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, mostly working individually but can working as part of small team.

Responsibilities

Maintain and care for gardens, lawns, trees and flowerbeds using hand tools and power tools.
Perform general landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, weeding, and leaf clearance.
Undertake general maintenance of land boundaries such as fence painting.
Identify and carry our seasonal jobs, such as planting and maintaining vegetable plot.
Keeping the working yard clear to the best of their ability.
Maintain equipment in good working order through regular cleaning and basic repairs.
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times

Skills

Proven experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is desirable.
Experience with hand tools and power tools is preferred.
Be able to work individually or as part of a small team
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
Physical fitness to perform manual labour tasks.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Good communication skills.

Pay: From £26,500.00 per year
