Full job description

Do you thrive in a fast-paced, tech-enabled warehouse environment? Can you inspire and develop high-performing teams? Are you passionate about driving operational excellence through innovation?

We’re looking for a dynamic and motivated First Line Manager to join our team in Crick. You’ll lead a team of Warehouse Operatives and Administrators, driving performance and efficiency across manual and automated operations.

This is a full-time permanent position. You’ll be working on the shift pattern of Sunday to Thursday with the hours of 15:00 till 23:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £30,400 per annum and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

Lead and inspire your team to meet and exceed KPIs
Manage automated systems including AGV Fleet, Auto-labeller Dispenser, and Pocket Sorter
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and maintain a clean, safe working environment
Drive continuous improvement through SOPs and lean methodologies
Monitor budgets, headcount, and performance metrics
Promote a positive, inclusive team culture and support colleague development

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Experience of working in a complex, fast-moving logistics/warehouse environment, ideally within eCommerce
Strong understanding of WMS, WCS, RCS, and automation technologies
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Knowledge of the end-to-end warehouse processes, health and safety and IOSH is highly desirable
