Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Beneficiary Services Manager, you will be responsible for collecting, ensuring the accuracy of, entering, analysing and reporting on data relating to potential suicides, contractual key performance indicators, weekly operational dashboards and operational statistics. The role will also involve liaising with internal staff members and external agencies to help ensure effective data flow and the provision of timely bereavement support. Would suit someone looking to progress into data analysis and/or gain experience in the charity sector.
Must be comfortable analysing data of a sensitive nature about deceased people.
Meticulous attention to detail, a firm grasp of technology and the ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders is essential. A DBS check will also be required.
Salary Progression
This role is offered at a starting salary of £24,784.50 per annum during the initial training and development period.
Due to the specialist nature of the role and the significant training required across multiple systems, processes and partner agencies, new employees will undertake a structured induction and learning programme during their first six months with Pete's Dragons.
Following the successful completion of the probationary period and the achievement of agreed learning and competency objectives, the salary will be reviewed with the intention of progressing to the full salary of £26,500 per annum.
Salary progression is dependent upon satisfactory performance, successful completion of probation and demonstration of the knowledge and skills required to undertake the role independently.
Role Requirements:
Data Processing
· Collect, cross-reference and enter data from multiple sources
· Review the dataset for missing or inaccurate information
· Extract, export and present data in a format appropriate for the intended audience
· Share information securely, in line with existing data sharing agreements
· Respond to internal and external ad hoc requests for data processing
IT Usage
· Accurately enter and transfer data between applications
· Proficiently use multiple databases and data analytics tools
· Proficiently use Microsoft Office applications
· Master new IT systems and software quickly
Administrative Support
· Provide general administrative support
· Schedule meetings, set agendas and produce formal minutes
· Draft, format, edit and collate documents and reports for circulation
Communication & Relationships
· Develop positive working relationships with internal staff and a wide range of external agencies to support efficient data flow
· Effectively communicate information about the Real-Time Suicide Surveillance System and the services offered by Pete’s Dragons
Miscellaneous
· Work in accordance with Pete’s Dragons objectives and values
· Work in accordance with organisational and departmental policies and procedures
· Ensure that the Data Protection Act and GDPR are taken into account at all times
· Work flexibly to best meet the needs of the service, including occasional changes in working hours or days
