WELL.. An exciting opportunity is available with Exeter Trampoline Academy (ETA) to be an apprentice as an Assistant Trampoline or Gymnastics Coach. ETA is a fast growing trampoline club in our own centre in Exeter . You will receive training on the job and will have a day release to Exeter College where you will complete a Level 2/3/4 NVQ in Activity Leadership or Sports Coaching. You will also complete a Level 1 & 2 UKCC coaching qualification in trampolining or gymnastics and be in charge of coaching your own sessions. Knowledge of gymnastics is not essential but advantageous, a passion for a future as a sports coach is vital. You will be coaching all ages therefore confidence with working with children is key. Whilst the job is very hard work, it is fun and extremely rewarding.
Skills required:
- Excellent communication skills – this will be very important as you will be speaking to children and their parents on behalf of ETA as well as working with coaches
- Good time keeping skills
- Must be a fast learner with great organisational skills
- Must be a good role model and responsible
- Physically fit enough to cope with the demands of the job (moving heavy equipment etc.)
- Flexible with working hours
Daily duties:
- Welcoming members/ beginners into the club
- Leading warm ups and cool downs
- Assisting experienced coaches
- Basic admin duties (e.g. registers)
- Maintaining and cleaning of centre
- Maintaining safety at all times
30 hours work + paid study with Bridgwater & Taunton College (study remotely) at £8.00/hour
Extra hours available and you will be expected to work holiday camps
You will receive paid full holiday entitlement
All coaching courses, DBS, safeguarding, first aid and British Gymnastics membership paid for by ETA.
