Operations Manager Hospitality
Reporting to – Head of Food & Beverage and Senior Operations Manager

The main responsibility is to ensure the smooth and efficient running of all Sandy Park events and match days, from start to finish. To work with the management team to lead and manage all events staff appropriately, in order to deliver exceptional customer service. Providing first class bar and catering services at all times.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The main duties and responsibilities of the job holder are to:
- Ensure that all Sandy Park Events and Match Day rooms are set up correctly, as per the function sheets.
- Sound knowledge of Bars and or Catering Operation. Use this knowledge to assist in the management of hospitality, bars and food outlets on match days.
- Ensure all bar and catering facilities are delivered to the client as expected, to the highest standards at all times.
- Learn and manage the variety of AV equipment requirements for events, handling any issues that may arise quickly.
- Take daily responsibility for leading the Events Assistants and any other casual bar/catering staff in the jobs required on any given day.
- Always look at the big picture at Sandy Park in order to be able to lead the front of house team, day to day.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service at all times, continually encouraging repeat business.
- Have attention to detail ensuring good working practices and care for equipment at all times
- Assist with all stock management, including product ordering, deliveries, counting, storage, stock rotation, reconciliation and loss investigation.
- Some heavy lifting and manual handling involved when dealing with deliveries and room turn arounds
- Adhere to Licensing Law, Data Protection, Fire Procedures, Risk Assessments, HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH and any other legislation relating to the role at all times.

The job holder must;
- Have at least 2 years’ experience in the hospitality industry.
- Be professional and well presented at all times.
- Have outstanding attention to detail
- Be able to lead and manage staff proactively.
- Be able to communicate well with people at all levels.
- Be able to prioritise duties.
- Be a team player.
- Be able to work un supervised in any environment.
- Be confident, patient, friendly, reliable & self-motivated.
The job holder would preferably:
- Have at least 2 years experience in a supervisory position within the hospitality industry.
- Have experience of managing bars and a good understanding of the licensing law.
- Have experience of managing events, dinners, weddings and corporate hospitality.
- Experience of fast-food operations or outside catering and have good knowledge of food safety.
- Personal license holder
- Have sound knowledge of audio visual equipment.
- Have good PC knowledge.
- Be first aid trained.
Pay: £33,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
