Job Summary

Join our vibrant team as a Swim Instructor and inspire confidence, safety, and a love for water in learners of all ages. In this dynamic role, you will lead engaging swimming lessons, teach essential water safety skills, and foster a positive environment that encourages growth and enjoyment. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help individuals achieve their aquatic goals while promoting health, safety, and fun in the pool. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our community’s well-being through the art of swimming.

Duties

Conduct structured swim lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers
Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety practices clearly and confidently
Assess each participant’s progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
Maintain a safe swimming environment by enforcing pool rules and monitoring all participants during lessons
Prepare lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and adapt activities to meet individual needs
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's progress and safety considerations
Assist with pool maintenance checks and ensure all safety equipment is in place and functional

Qualifications

Proven experience teaching swimming or water safety skills, preferably with certification from a recognised aquatic organisation
Strong knowledge of water safety protocols, rescue techniques, and first aid procedures
Excellent communication skills to motivate learners and clearly demonstrate techniques
Ability to work outdoors or in indoor pool environments while maintaining high energy levels
Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is highly preferred
Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for teaching and promoting water safety among diverse populations
