Are you an experienced Communication Support Worker professional ready to lead a specialist team supporting Deaf learners? This fixed-term opportunity has arisen to provide leadership continuity within our specialist support services during a planned period of senior team cover. The role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced CSW professional with team leadership experience, to step into a position to influence service development, and lead a highly skilled team supporting Deaf learners across a range of educational settings.

You will:

Lead, motivate and develop a specialist team of CSWs and CSW Plus staff

Manage staff deployment, timetabling and operational delivery across a range of educational settings

Oversee recruitment, induction, performance management and professional development

Maintain high-quality service standards and provide leadership on SEND and EHCP implementation

Build strong relationships with colleagues, families and external partners to ensure exceptional learner support

What we're looking for:

Qualified CSW with experience of performance management, quality assurance and staff development of CSW professionals

Qualified to BSL Level 3 or above

Strong knowledge of Deaf culture and Deaf education

Experience managing CSW teams or similar specialist support services

Excellent organisational skills, including workforce planning and timetabling

Knowledge of SEND legislation, EHCPs and the SEND Code of Practice

Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with students, families, colleagues and external partners

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
