As an Operations Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for leading day-to-day production activities and ensuring everything runs safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and coordinating daily operations to meet production, quality, and delivery targets
- Managing production schedules to drive efficiency, throughput, and on-time delivery
- Identifying and resolving bottlenecks, risks, and operational challenges
- Driving clear communication through team briefings and performance reviews
- Monitoring performance using KPIs and data to identify improvement opportunities
- Ensuring equipment and processes are maintained and operating effectively
- Maintaining a safe, organised, and high-performing working environment
A big part of this role is developing people and building a positive, high-performance culture.
You will:
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team in a busy workshop/production setting
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development
- Manage performance and build skills capability and succession plans
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, logistics, etc.)
- Champion a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Safety and quality are at the heart of everything we do.
- Promote a strong health & safety culture and ensure compliance at all times
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen)
- Investigate issues and implement root cause corrective actions
- Support high standards of quality and regulatory compliance
- Experience in an engineering / manufacturing / processing environment
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a production/workshop setting
- Strong understanding of operational processes and continuous improvement principles
- Confident using systems such as ERP and Microsoft 365 tools
- Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Engineering qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience in a regulated or safety-critical environment
- A hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- A confident communicator who can influence at all levels
