Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Dance Teacher to lead classes on Saturday mornings. The successful candidate will inspire students of various ages and skill levels, fostering a love for dance while providing high-quality instruction in a supportive environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in dance and teaching to share their expertise and encourage creative expression.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging dance classes tailored to different age groups and skill levels
Demonstrate dance techniques and routines clearly, ensuring students understand instructions
Create a positive and motivating atmosphere that encourages participation and confidence
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support development
Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities and maintain a safe environment for all participants
Prepare class materials and organise warm-up exercises, stretches, and cool-down routines
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding class schedules and student progress

Skills

Proven experience in teaching dance, ideally with a recognised qualification or certification
Strong knowledge of various dance styles suitable for children or beginners (e.g., ballet, jazz, contemporary)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage students of all ages
Organised with the ability to plan lessons that are both educational and enjoyable
Patient, approachable, and enthusiastic about fostering a love for dance
Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities
A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one prior to employment is preferred
