Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated Fundraising and Communications Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting our fundraising, event coordination and communication initiatives and requires a blend of creativity and strong organisational skills alongside a desire to charitably support members of the community. This is a part time role with a working pattern of 22.5 hours a week.
The pro-rata salary range of £15,785 to £17,222 for 22.5 hours per week is the equivalent of £26,308 to £28,703 full time equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of fundraising events, community campaigns and awareness activities.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with supporters, volunteers, local businesses and community groups.
- Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, the website and printed marketing materials.
- Assist with fundraising administration, CRM/database management and supporter stewardship.
- Help promote Campden Home Nursing's services and identify opportunities to increase awareness, engagement and fundraising income.
Experience
- Previous experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, events or administration is desirable but not essential.
- Confident using Canva, Microsoft Office and social media platforms (experience of Mailchimp, Hootsuite, WordPress or a CRM is an advantage).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to engage with a wide range of people.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities while working independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility is required to work occasional evenings and weekends to support events.

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
POST: Fundraising and Communications Assistant
RESPONSIBLE TO: Fundraising Manager and Communications Manager
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
LOCATION: Jecca’s House, Aston Road, Chipping Campden
The Role
The Fundraising and Communications Assistant will support the delivery of Campden Home Nursing's fundraising and communications activities. The role will help generate income, raise awareness of the charity's work, and strengthen relationships with supporters, volunteers, and the wider community.
Working closely with the Fundraising Manager and Communications Manager, the postholder will provide practical support across fundraising, events, marketing, digital communications, and database administration.
Main Responsibilities
Fundraising and Community Engagement
· Support the Fundraising Manager to deliver the Fundraising Strategy.
· Assist in the creation, planning and execution of fundraising and community awareness events.
· Support and coordinate third-party fundraising activities and community-led fundraising initiatives.
· Develop and maintain positive relationships with supporters, community groups, schools, local businesses, and fundraisers.
· Support the stewardship of supporters and fundraisers, ensuring timely acknowledgements, thank you communications and ongoing engagement.
· Undertake face-to-face community engagement through hosting coffee mornings and fundraising and awareness events.
· Liaise with volunteers and event participants, ensuring smooth event execution.
· Source and collect raffle prizes and other items from local businesses and community supporters. Via face to face, email, and telephone engagement.
· Distribute promotional materials, including posters and flyers.
· Provide administrative support for fundraising activities, ensuring accurate records and supporter information are maintained.
· Help deliver a continuous and sustainable fundraising operation to meet the short, medium, and long-term revenue plans of the charity as determined by the CEO and Board of Trustees.
Communications and Marketing
· Support the Communications Manager to deliver the Communications Strategy – internal and external.
· Work closely with all members of the CHN team to gain a full understanding of the charity's services and impact and communicate this effectively to a wider audience.
· Share communications internally with staff and volunteers, and externally with supporters and the wider community.
· Apply the CHN brand guidelines, tone of voice and communication style across all communications.
· Support our social media presence:
. Create and schedule social media posts.
. Respond to comments and messages, including on a rota outside core working hours.
. Take and edit photographs for use across social media and marketing materials.
. Liaise with the Charity Shop to create regular content to support the shop.
. Design and update materials in Canva, including posters, flyers, tickets, and social media graphics.
· Update and maintain website content, including events, news, testimonials, and fundraising information.
· Create and distribute internal and external newsletters using Mailchimp.
· Support database administration, including data cleansing and audience segmentation within the CRM and Mailchimp.
· Monitor response rates and evaluate communications and event performance, providing reports as required.
· Identify opportunities to increase awareness, engagement, and fundraising support.
· Support storytelling by gathering testimonials and case studies for campaigns and communications.
· Provide administrative support as required.

· Proficiency with the design tool Canva
· Confident and proficient using social media including scheduling and responding to posts - Facebook, Instagram
· Ability to take good photos and edit for use in social media posts.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends to support events and out of hours social media. Time will be given in lieu for hours worked.
· This role can be physical - the successful candidate will be involved in setting up and closing events which may entail moving and carrying. Training and support provided.
· Full driving licence and access to transport - the role will involve occasional travel.
Desirable skills
· Previous experience working in a similar role (assisting with events, fundraising and communications)
· Experience of the social media scheduler - Hootsuite
· Proficiency in the email marketing platform- Mailchimp
· WordPress knowledge for the website
· Understanding of donation platforms such as Enthuse or Just Giving
Experience of database management CRM systems and ability to manipulate
