Full job description

Full-Time | Permanent | Days - 8am-4:30pm Mon-Thurs with 2pm finish on a Friday

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team in Kidderminster. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our plant by delivering high-quality electrical (and some mechanical) maintenance support.

Working within a safety-critical, ATEX-regulated environment, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving electrical systems and equipment, supporting production uptime, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on plant equipment
Diagnose and repair electrical faults quickly to minimise downtime
Work safely in ATEX hazardous areas, ensuring full compliance with regulations
Maintain and repair ATEX-rated equipment (motors, panels, sensors, instrumentation, cabling)
Support installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of electrical systems
Follow LOTO, isolation, and permit-to-work procedures
Keep accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems
Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities
Collaborate with production teams, mechanical engineers, and contractors
Support site audits, safety inspections, and compliance activities
Participate in shift work and breakdown/on-call cover

About You

We’re looking for a hands-on, safety-focused engineer with strong fault-finding skills and a proactive mindset.

Essential:

Completed a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship (Level 3 or equivalent)
COMPEX certified
Strong knowledge of electrical safety and safe systems of work
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

Multi-skilled (approx. 70% electrical / 30% mechanical)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Basic PLC fault finding (DeltaV experience advantageous)
Instrumentation experience
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
