Overview

Join our vibrant bakery team as a Bakery Shop Assistant and become a key player in delivering fresh, delicious baked goods to our community! As a Bakery Shop Assistant, you will be instrumental in ensuring our bakery operates smoothly, maintains high standards of food safety, and provides an exceptional customer experience. Duties

Assist in food production and preparation of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes, following established recipes and quality standards
Support the kitchen team with food safety practices to ensure cleanliness and hygiene throughout the bakery
Help set up displays and arrange baked items attractively to entice customers and boost sales
Maintain inventory levels by restocking shelves and notifying management of supplies needed
Provide friendly, attentive service to customers, answering questions about products and offering recommendations
Follow all food safety regulations and procedures during food handling and preparation
Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues during busy periods

Qualifications

Previous experience in food production, baking, or kitchen environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
Experience working in a restaurant or culinary setting is a plus
Strong interest in baking, cooking, and food preparation techniques
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and enthusiasm
Excellent communication skills with a friendly approach to customer service
Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and food handling procedures
