Central Manchester CAMHS is seeking to recruit a full-time Band 8a Mental Health Practitioner / Clinical Psychologist to take on a leading role within our well-established service.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of specialist interventions and high-quality clinical care within core CAMHS. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping service provision, supporting colleagues, and ensuring best practice in working with children and young people.

The post holder will lead on and develop the provision of specialist interventions within a comprehensive and integrated CAMHS service.
They will deliver specialist therapeutic interventions to children, young people, and their families, including group work, staff training, consultation, and the provision of psychological advice. This will involve close multi-agency liaison, particularly in relation to complex cases.
The post holder will supervise and support the assessments and interventions delivered by other members of the multidisciplinary team, while also maintaining their own clinical caseload. They will provide clinical and therapeutic expertise to promote high-quality, evidence-based practice across the service.
Working closely with senior colleagues, the post holder will contribute to service development by implementing innovative approaches to meet demand and establishing effective systems for measuring outcomes.
The role requires autonomous practice within professional guidelines, with responsibility for the governance of specialist clinical practice. The post holder will play a key role in departmental audit, policy development, service evaluation, and the support and supervision of research activity.
In addition, they will support the leadership team in non-clinical functions, including implementing policy changes and reporting on service outcomes and processes within Central Manchester CAMHS.
