What you’ll be doing
As a qualified Dispensing Optician, you will be providing a high level of customer care and expert advice to make a real difference to our customers and keep them coming back. You will work in one of our stores, reporting to the Store Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Providing clinical support in store for regulated dispensing
- Inspiring your Optical team by sharing your knowledge to offer the very best service.
- Listening to the needs of customers and offer expertise and advice.
- Helping our customers to choose the correct eyewear and offer guidance to ensure our customers receive the best product suited to their needs.
- Supporting the team to deliver an efficient model day and operational processes to ensure that the business trades legally.
- Providing expert knowledge for patients with more specialist requirements.
What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)
- Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
- Passion for your own learning and development, completing all CPD training as part of the GOC requirement.

We are looking for a passionate Dispensing Optician to join us in North Wales, in our Llandudno practice!
This position is full-time, working across 5 days per week; we are happy to explore alternate weekend working in this role, in addition to a Mobile DO position, covering our Bangor practice also.
You would be joining an experienced team of 10, comprising 1 Dispensing Optician, 1 Contact Lens Optician and 2 Resident Optometrists, this 2-testing room practice sits within a busy, Victorian seaside town and car parking is available in the nearby shopping centre.
