Team England Co-ordinator
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Team England Co-ordinator to join the dynamic Angling Trust Competitions team and help shape our international and domestic success stories.
Angling Trust Team England is a renowned force on the World angling stage, competing (and winning) at the highest level since 1953.
We are active in all disciplines of angling - coarse, predator, carp, sea shore, boat, and game fishing – and through all age groups from U15 to over 65 years of age. Over 350 elite-level anglers are selected to represent England each season in events both at home and abroad.
This new role will be deeply embedded within those groups and, as Team England Co-ordinator you will be the point of contact for our team of volunteer managers, coaches, anglers, and parents as well as being our direct link to the World governing bodies across coarse, sea, and game disciplines.

The successful candidate will work with the Angling Trust Head of Competitions, the wider Competitions team, internal business teams along with external stakeholders including:

Main responsibilities
-
Management of the calendar of international and domestic England events including World/European/Home Nations Championships, Assessment/Selection Days/Trials, Talent Pathways, coaching sessions, and Manager/Anglers applications.

Management of Manager/Angler application process, selection letters, International Angler Agreement contracts, and membership obligations.
-
Working with Managers and coaches to ensure assessment days, trials, and pathways are openly communicated, transparent, and delivered to required standards and are properly safeguarded against risks.

Lead on all safeguarding matters with the England teams, volunteers, supporters and families, closely liaising with AT’s Safeguarding Lead.

Liaising with Managers to ensure squads are registered with International Governing Bodies before deadlines.

Liaising with AT Finance team and managers to ensure entry payments/fees are made to international bodies before deadlines.

Liaising with external supporters, sponsors, and partners to ensure contract obligations and agreements are adhered to.

Management of squad finances and preparation/distribution of monthly balance sheets for Managers.

Supporting best practice for Manager/Teams fundraising activities and ensuring financial transparency.

Supporting Managers in creation of itinerary documentation for trips as well as raising awareness and supplying insurance documents and emergency protocols.

Ensuring Managers are aware and are fulfilling sponsorship obligations.

Ensuring Managers and anglers are creating positive online media content in support of Team England.

Management of Manager/Coach training database, ensuring all required training standards are met and up to date, including DBS checks.

Liaising with Mangers/Coaches/Parental supporters to ensure risk assessments are carried out and governance adhered to.

Organisation of quarterly Team England Manager meetings in relevant groups via Teams.

Maintaining ‘Roll of Honour’ record of England results during the year.

To undertake any duties that may reasonably be regarded as within the nature of the duties and responsibilities/grade of the post as defined, subject to the proviso that normally any changes of a permanent nature shall be incorporated into the job description in specific terms.
Working hours
-
This role is part time (0.8 FTE, 30hours, exact days and working hours to be agreed) and can either be working from home or working from our Ilkeston, Derbyshire office.

On occasion, evening and/or weekend working will be required. Time off in lieu may be accrued for weekend and significant evening working.

Fixed term contract of 24 months.

Salary range is (FTE) £28k to £32k dependent on experience.

You’re proactive, self‑motivated, and collaborate well with experts across different teams and disciplines.

You are media savvy, with knowledge and experience of social platforms.

A knowledge of angling and our international teams is desirable.
