Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Technician to join our team in Derby. This role is vital in ensuring safety standards are maintained across our projects and contributes to our mission of delivering top-tier survey equipment and solutions.
Responsibilities
Carrying out comprehensive safety checks, including the testing, maintenance and calibration of all hire and customer-owned equipment, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed both digitally and physically.
· Maintaining the workshop and equipment as required, ensuring that sufficient volumes of core hire equipment are always available.
· Managing workloads, prioritising work effectively and efficiently.
· Providing telephone support to customers.
· Maintaining a stock of spare parts for repairs.
· Communicate with customers both through email and on the phone.
· Attending internal and external training courses as and when required.
· Liaising with national teams and offering support if required.
Other skills
- Proven experience in health and safety within the construction or surveying industry.
- Strong report writing skills.
- Ability to analyse incidents and determine root causes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of current health and safety legislation.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
