Full job description

Overview
As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care to individuals in both care home and home care settings. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This position requires a dedicated individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of those they care for.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support clients in maintaining their independence by helping with mobility and daily activities.
Implement and follow care plans tailored to each client's needs.
Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with team members.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.

Skills

Proficient in English with strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communication purposes.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed.
