Café Manager / Tearoom Manager – Full Time and part time available.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Café Manager to lead our friendly team at The Little Shed in Allestree. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hospitality and management experience who enjoys working in a welcoming, fast-paced café environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the tearoom while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining the warm, friendly atmosphere we pride ourselves on.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading, supervising and supporting the team
- Training and onboarding new staff members
- Maintaining high standards of customer service,
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation and compliance with food safety regulations
- Creating a team culture that goes above and beyond for customers
- Welcoming customers and assisting with menu choices, cake counter selections and dietary requirements
- Handling card/contactless payments and cash transactions. Cashing up and locking up.
- Preparing drinks including coffees, hot chocolates and milkshakes. Packing cakes and afternoon teas.
- Managing and working with the team to ensure the day to day jobs are completed by each member of staff and assisting with further training if required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous hospitality and management experience
- Experience working in a café, tearoom or similar hospitality environment
- A friendly, positive personality with excellent customer service skill
- Confidence speaking with customers and building relationships
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to stay calm in a busy environment
- The ability to motivate and lead a team
