Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plant Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a class2 HGV road sweeper, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a focused background experience in commercial driving, particularly those familiar with johnston range of road sweepers. The Operator will play a vital role in supporting our contract onsite on Day work adhering to safety standards and environmental regulations.

Duties

Operate heavy machinery including excavators and other plant equipment safely and efficiently.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Manage the unloading, and transportation of materials using commercial driving skills.
Monitor plant operations, adjusting controls as necessary to maintain site cleanliness
Compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during operations.

Qualifications / Training

Proven experience in operating heavy machinery, particularly sweepers would be a strong point for immediate job recruitment. TRIANING CAN & WILL be given to the ideal candidate.
Patience on site driving / yard movevents 5mph / repetitive work
Valid driving licence Class 2 NOT required but plant operators skills preferred .
Prior experience in a plant or industrial environment is preferred.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Physical fitness to handle manual tasks associated with machinery operation.
Commitment to safety standards and environmental compliance. This position offers an engaging work environment where technical skills are valued, and safety is paramount.
