Tutor – Creative & STEM Learning Academy (Part-Time)About Macademia
Macademia is a creative learning academy based in Nottingham, delivering hands-on educational experiences for young people aged 8–16.
Through subjects including architecture, engineering, medicine, business, law & criminology, sustainability, AI, fashion and design, we help young people explore future careers, build confidence and discover their strengths through practical, creative learning.
Our sessions are designed to feel calm, collaborative and inspiring — encouraging curiosity, creativity and real-world thinking rather than traditional classroom-style teaching.
Many of the young people we work with are home educated, neurodivergent, or thrive in alternative learning environments where they feel supported, understood and encouraged to learn in different ways.
As Macademia continues to grow across our Sherwood and West Bridgford studios, we are looking for passionate and engaging tutors to join our team.
The Role
We are looking for enthusiastic tutors, educators, creatives and industry professionals to deliver engaging small-group sessions in areas such as:
- Fashion & Marketing
- Engineering
- Product Design

- Law & Criminology
- Life Skills
- Drama
- Astrophysics
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Spanish
Sessions are hands-on, discussion-led and project-based, designed to inspire creativity, confidence and independent thinking.
Tutors are supported with session frameworks, resources and collaborative planning, while also being encouraged to bring their own personality, ideas and professional experience into sessions.
This is a part-time role of approximately 4–6 hours per week across our Sherwood and West Bridgford studios, with opportunities for additional hours through holiday clubs, workshops and future programme expansion.
