Job Title: Pest Control Technician - Sheffield/North of Sheffield

Location: Sheffield/North of Sheffield
Starting salary: £27,500-£33,000 basic salary (depending on experience) plus overtime, lead commission and additional earning opportunities.
Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent

Safeguard Pest Control part of the Orkin Rollins group of companies is one of the top five pest control companies in the UK, covering England, Scotland and Wales. With over 30 years experience, we specialise in all forms of commercial and residential pest control, bird control and specialist environmental services.

Role Overview:
No two days are the same. You'll work across commercial and residential properties, carrying out inspections, treatments, proofing work and providing expert advice to customers. You'll manage your own territory while being supported by an experienced operations team.

We are seeking dedicated individuals who are passionate about providing quality pest control services. If you are enthusiastic, ambitious, self-motivated, well organised, reliable and trustworthy, please get in touch.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate the smooth running of the business through the treatment of pest infestations on commercial, residential and government properties.
Primarily the Pest Control Technician will travel to various premises within a designated geographical area to inspect premises, report on pest levels and organise / undertake treatment programs.

Main Duties:

Carry out detailed pest inspections across commercial and residential sites.
Organise and undertake a program of treatments to control pests.
Write reports on all inspections undertaken to include details of treatment.
Undertake minor proofing works to prevent pest infection.
Sell new and additional work as opportunities arise.
Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.

Person Specification:

Have a full valid UK driving licence.
Competent written & verbal communication skills
Excellent communication skills and be confident dealing with customers at all levels
Ability to work on your own initiative
Knowledge/Interest of common household pests and their behaviours.
Physical stamina to handle equipment and perform treatments in various environments
