Full job description

Are you an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative or have previous fencing and groundworks experience, willing to learn more , seeking an opportunity to use your existing skills in a fast-paced outdoor working environment? We're a close-knit team of skilled workers developing and maintaining local green spaces in Norfolk.

The role is practical and varied and requires a reliable team player who takes pride in a quality outcome to their work.

Tasks

Operating machinery, including ride-on and pedestrian mowers, chainsaws, strimmers, hedge cutters and spraying equipment
Grass cutting - mowing/strimming
Hedge cutting, pruning, and planting
Tree surgery, maintenance, and planting
Grounds maintenance and landscaping tasks, including turfing, digging, planting, seeding, watering and conservation
Preparing/delivering goods, including firewood, smokeless fuel, compost and other plant nursery products
Fencing works
Cleaning and maintaining equipment

Role Specifics
* Full-time, permanent role based near Swaffham, Norfolk
* Salary based on experience & qualifications (NMW/NLW upwards)
* Hours are 7:30 am - 5pm Monday-Friday
* Start Date: IMMEDIATE

Ideal Candidate

enjoys a variety of tasks and skills to benefit all areas of the business

able to work at a good pace, but with attention to detail
focussed on quality results
practical and a problem-solver
willing to learn new skills and take on extra training courses where required
Ideally has experience in grounds maintenance / horticultural practices/fencing / groundworks
sensible and conscientious

Qualifications

full, current, clean driving licence and own transport to get to work (essential)
current PA1 & PA6 certificate (ideal) but training can be provided
current CSCS Card/Rolo Qualification (ideal), but training can be provided
machinery/equipment qualifications, e.g. mowers, brushcutters, trimmers, chainsaws (ideal), but training can be provided
First Aid certificate (ideal) but training can be provided
DBS checks may be made
