Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Level 2 Swimming Teacher to join our team at KB Swim School in East Winch. The ideal candidate will have a passion for swimming and teaching, with the ability to provide high-quality swim instruction to individuals of all ages and skill levels.
As a Swimming Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting swimming lessons following established curriculum and guidelines
- Creating your own lesson plans suitable for the ability of the class
- Working independently
- Providing individualised instruction to students based on their abilities
- Ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all swimmers
- Demonstrating proper swimming techniques and skills
- Promoting water safety practices and awareness
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and qualities:
- Previous experience of a minimum of 1 year as a swimming teacher
- A recognised Level 2 swimming instructor qualification (STA or Swim England)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and motivate
- Knowledge of water safety practices and rescue techniques, must hold a current teacher safety award or similar
- Ability to work effectively with individuals of varying ages and skill levels
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Hours Available:
Wednesdays 3.45pm-6.45pm
Thursdays 3.45pm-6.45pm
Saturdays 8.30am-12.30pm (requires STA Baby & Parent Swimming qualification)
Lessons are school term time only.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £21.00 per hour
