Full job description

We are a long-established independent bike retailer with a strong reputation for quality bikes, expert advice and great customer service. We work across a wide range of bikes, including road, mountain, gravel, hybrid, electric and children’s bikes, from leading brands such as Cube, Ghost, Niner and Raymon.

This role is ideal for someone who already has solid workshop experience and can confidently service, repair and prepare bikes to a high standard.

The Role

As an Experienced Cycle Mechanic, you will join our team of mechanics based within the online arm of the business, building and prepping a wide range bikes for mail order dispatch. You will play a key role in keeping up with high seasonal demand of sales by building new bikes to a 'ready-to-ride' state before they are partially disassembled for repacking. You will work closely with the sales team to manage workflow through the workshop and offer technical support where needed.

Key Responsibilities

Build and prepare new bikes for customer collection and delivery
Complete pre-delivery inspections and safety checks
Work on a wide range of bikes, including e-bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, gravel bikes and hybrids
Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
Work efficiently to meet workshop deadlines without compromising quality
Support the wider team during busy retail periods

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience working as a cycle mechanic ( 2 years minimum)
Strong knowledge of modern bike components and workshop standards
Confident servicing and repairing hydraulic disc brakes, drivetrains, wheels and general bike systems
Experience with e-bikes is highly desirable
Ability to diagnose faults and explain required work clearly
Good attention to detail and pride in high-quality workmanship
Strong organisation and time management skills
A positive, team-focused attitude
Willingness to keep learning as bike technology develops
Cytech or equivalent qualification is desirable, but proven experience is just as important
